BRIEF TECHNOLOGY

TP 3-in-1™ is an innovation involves a specially formulated beverage consists of a mixture of tropical fruits with a therapeutic dosage of polyphenols to prevent risk of cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s Disease. 

INSPIRATION OF THE INVENTION

The high prevalence of poor mental health and poor cognition in Malaysian population requires high polyphenol intake in ready to consume form as a tools that can help to reduce the risk of the problem. 

PROBLEM STATEMENT & CURRENT ISSUES

6 out of 10 Malaysian adults are not consuming enough fruits and vegetables regularly; coincide with the rise of chronic diseases and poor mental health among Malaysians. As fruits and vegetables are the main source of polyphenol, unbalanced diet and hectic lifestyle make it hard to meet this nutrient requirement. Thus, a consumption of ready-to-drink fruit juice would help to replenish nutrient and fiber intake of the population.   

INVENTIVENESS  & NOVELTY

  • Special combination of 3 type of fruits, with high polyphenols content. 
  • Therapeutic doses tested in animal studies and clinical trial in human. 
  • Reformulation for low sugar version at 5% sugar.
  • Shelf life stable.

USEFULNESS & APPLICATION

Lab testing on animal indicated its potential to increase neuronal count, whilst clinical trial on human revealed its ability to reduce oxidative stress, improve short term memory and increased excretion of metabolites, facilitates autophagy of cells related to dementia. This product is suitable to be consumed by all ages above 1 year old of life.
